Verify Every Wiring Instruction by Phone

Cybercriminals routinely target companies and their clients by impersonating trusted parties over email. They may send messages that appear to come from CAS Auto, LLC, sometimes intercepting or altering legitimate correspondence to insert fraudulent bank account or wiring details.

Before transferring any funds, always call CAS Auto, LLC directly using a phone number you have independently verified — not one supplied in an email — and speak with the familiar sales representative you have been dealing with to confirm the wiring instructions. Do not rely on account details, routing numbers, or payment changes received by email, text message, or any other electronic communication without verbal confirmation.

Warning Signs of Wire Fraud

• A last-minute or unexpected change to previously provided wiring instructions or bank account details.
• Emails with a sender address, domain, or signature that differs slightly from the one you normally use.
• Requests to keep the transaction confidential or to act with unusual urgency.
• Messages containing suspicious attachments, links, or requests to enter account credentials.
